Steubenville Mid-America is a high-energy youth conference where teens come together from many different parishes, cities and states on the Missouri State University college campus and pack the MSU Arena throughout the weekend for dynamic speakers, engaging music, Sacraments and fun.
Conference Dates: July 9 - 11 or July 16 - 18
The weekend that St. Andrew's Saltire group attends will be determined and communicated by March 28.
Please read below for what Steubenville organizers are doing as it relates to Covid protocols:
Your safety is our priority. While we recognize that no one can tell us what July 2021 is going to definitively look like, we do know that our 2021 Conferences will look and operate differently than they have in the past. We are working with Missouri State University to ensure all proper protocols are being followed. Below are some ways we're working to bring our participants the safest measures for attending. This is subject to change based off of the most recent guidelines at the time of the conferences. We will be releasing new information as it becomes available.
Arena: As we are operating at a limited capacity, participants will sit every other seat, every other row to allow for proper spacing.
Housing: Participants will be limited to at most 2 to a room and whole groups will be housed more closely together.
General Prevention: We will be following guidelines put in place by the Greene County Health Department and CDC. Currently, this includes:masks worn at all times while indoors and outdoors when social distancing is not possible. Increased sanitation will occur and sanitizing stations will be available throughout campus.
Other Considerations: Over the coming months, we will be working closely with Missouri State University and the health department to make sure all guidelines are being followed. While we do not know definitively at this point, we are exploring the following options: online bookstore with contactless pickup hosting portions of the conference outdoors decreasing the amount of continuous time spent in arena utilizing multiple entrances/exits to the arena with specified restrooms throughout the weekend limiting capacity/access to PSU and other typically crowded areas scheduling times for confession or holding them outdoors.
